    2007 Mts 1000ds

Yup, a Duc has been on the bucket list ever since I had a ball riding my Duc race bike the long way home from Nelson.
Will be interesting to see how this performs as a touring bike/occasional back road blaster.
A couple of shortish rides bodes well. Handles like a dream and heaps of grunt
Queen of the Hobbits is very happy on the back.

Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

I hope it's a better view from the cockpit...
It's as bad as a VStrom, but the Ducati badge takes some of the pain away...

Nice one Tim - confess I've always lusted after a Ducati and certainly the MultiStrada has been among those I've admired - does this mean the G650GS has gone (or is going from your stable?) - I've just cleared a R100GS PD from my watchlist on TM - I'm still learning the art of contentment

A trip to Duanes early on could be good for peace of mind[ if not your wallet!]

Yes, the 650 will be a gone burger come spring.

Duane looks after the 400 when necessary for me so I guess he'll be rubbing his hands. However the 2v Duc's are not bad to work on once you get your head around a different approach to valve adjustment.

    Cheers.

I have a hankering for an SS at some stage. Slow, poor handling, average brakes and uncomfortable.....still want to try one at some stage...

Hope you enjoy the new steed. My 1100s was great in terms of handing and grunt. Sadly it did not work for me as a two up bike (we are both too large) and lacked the ground clearance for back roads. Having said that, it handled well on well formed gravel, as experienced in driving rain on the KB rally on the Wet Coast.
