He probably knew you would have dropped the clutch, wheelied and binned before he had even bothered to get off the line, so in a way he was probably right!

have you redged it for summer then ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Happily I ride mine all year round. Sadly this mostly means riding it very slowly to and from work.

And that's no surprise as I understand in the last 5 years Triumph has gone from being the 5th highest to the highest seller of "road bikes above 600cc" in NZ.

    Incorrect. That's still Harley-Davidson.

I'm pretty sure I am correct. When you add up the sales by all road models for 600cc and above Triumph are selling more than HD. Triumph sell a much wider range of bikes than HD. Sure HD sell more cruisers than Triumph (who sell quite a few) but triumph has bikes in the touring, sports touring, sports and adventure touring segments and combining all these sectors outsells HD.

That's odd. I just got emailed the figures the other day. The email I got showed HD as still the biggest selling bike in NZ over 651cc.

But of course...Harley-Davidson could be lying. To their credit...Triumph are running a very close second.

Ps:. I used to sell both...and I can tell you what I sold more of then too.

    its not just new bikes...

in welly the variety of bikes is quite amazing, you see all sorts on the motorway in the morning.Bike parks arent always the best place to judge by ether cos a lot of people seem to be able to park in parking buildings, maybe pinching a spot sorta covered by the compamy they work for.For instance most morning s i see a really nice looking old Kawasaki gpz 550 and a original looking BMW r100gs

Ok, that was my next question - what stats are you using. I don't have the latest so I'll defer to your stats.
