Hey guys, just need to know a fair price for this bike. Done 93,000 kms. Has a couple of scratches, nothing major.

No pic showing my end either.

They were a popular and reliable bike. Shared the same basic engine as the TRX. Those that have one ... seldom want to sell ...

A lot of "what if's" regarding what is a fair price though.

The TDM is nice machine and depending on condition and mileage could be anywhere from $2500 to $5000. New tyres, chain, sprockets and Rego are worth $1500 alone. So on a bike of this value a swing of $2000 is quite on the cards.

I'm always humming & hahing about selling my MKII, then I go for a ride & decide to keep it. Mines a 98 with 57k on it & I would not take less than $5500 & even that price would smart. Not worth parting with for any less. The big problem with the TDM's is very few people know what they are or are capable of. They would not bat an eyelid at any road in the country but being under the radar do not command a good price, people know more about V-stroms etc so they tend too hug the lime light.
Good luck with your sale, don't give it away!

I sold my old TRX850 for 6k less than twelve months later the new owner
parted company with it for 2800.. ( he was crying in is coffee )

TDM's are under rated in NZ so are the TRX's pity really they are well engineered
    bikes..

At the end of the day I look at the reason for selling, set a price and go from there..
