Thumbs up to Bill at Budget Motorcycle Services ChCh.

At the car dealership I work at we trade anything, including bikes. And recently I've traded a couple little gems. One of them sold on the weekend, and we needed to put a new tyre on it. The local agent for this model quoted us 5 days to get the tyre in, which was just too long as we needed to deliver it tomorrow. A quick call to Budgets and a tyre was sorted on the spot. However, this is not the reason for the thumbs up. See we're a car yard, and no one but me has a bike license. And I can't ride the bike, as it isn't set up for my ah 'specials needs' shall we say. So Bill popped down to the warrant shop, rode the bike back to his shop, fitted the tyre and is dropping the bike back tomorrow. Fantastic service.

Now I'm not saying that Bill will do that for every customer (like I said I'm pretty special) but in an age where most people go out of their way to complain so quickly I figure it's the right thing to go out of my way to praise.

I have found the same thing at budget myself - bought a new tyre for my CB when I had it and found the front brake pads needed changing too, ended up spending about an hour and a half sorting it out with me as the caliper was playing up but got it done in the end and was really pleased with the service I got. I go there for most of the bits and pieces I need now

I can recommend them too!. I had a tyre change on my Beemer a while ago and they can be a prick to change due to the very close spacing between the valve and spokey things. Bill had to ruin one of his valve pullers just to get the damn thing out. Took ages too.

But not one word of complaint and just the regular charge as well as lots of friendly advice on other matters.

    Cheers Bill

I have nothing but praise for the people at Budget. They fit a new tyre to my bike with only 20 minutes notice. They both ride bikes and have a Corgi. Bike and dogs? That's two ticks in my book
