Ooops, didn't spot that. Got the link from one of the MV listservers.

Not to worried about the MV selling (or not). Just got new front sprocket, chain and front tyre put on during the weekend so the Brutale is humming along very nicely. I put an advert in the M/C trader but missed the cutoff by a day so it will be in the next issue.

Having said that I spent a few hours on a 996SPS while my bike was getting the new bits added. If I can find a way to buy the SPS and stay married then I'l probably trade it. After riding the SPS the ride into work this morning felt very boring, although my back thanked me.

Not sure I would commute on it much and touring might be a bit tough so I have to consider those limitations. I commuted and toured a lot when I had my F4 but in hindsight that may not of been such a great idea.

The best option would be for me to buy the SPS out-right and keep the Brutale for commuting/touring. But that's a truckload of money (which I don't have) tied up in bikes and we need a 2nd car, house painted etc etc.

I don't know. Maybe a few of these will help me decide

Hmm, time for touring every weekend once the kids are grown up. Soon enough they won't want me cramping their style so for now I'll enjoy them while I can.

I still get out for 2-3 decent trips a year and most weekends for a blast so I'm lucky really.
