You wouldn't be dissapointed with the 750 John, plus those aniversary ones are pretty trick and good looking, for something a little different. Either or, whatever you decide, you're making the right choice by stepping onto a GSXR.

It was an '86 = they weren't that fast.

All you need is a steady hand.

Well that wasn't the response I was expecting

It still would have had 80+ hp yeah? How did you find learning on it?

No? Thought I was taking the proverbial, did ya?

    89 rwhp I beleive.

Not as light and nimble as a 250cc sportbike, but not particularly difficult. One thing learning to ride on small gutless bikes does, is gets you into the habbit of whacking the throttle to wide-open when you want to get a move on. I have 'roll-on throttle smoothly' firmly ingrained in my psyche.
Its all about mature approach I guess. I was 22 going on 23 and had already gone through my 'must drive car fast and dangerously all the time' phase. Probably would've killed myself had I done it this way 5 years earlier...

'Fuck it' is always the best solution.

Interestingly, and I mean this in the nicest possible way DM, I believe that you'd be a *faster* rider, had you done your time on the smaller bikes and built your way up. Note "faster" not neccessarily "better".

Why do people that learn on smaller bikes become faster riders WT? does that mean because I learnt on something with less than 2bhp I will be realy realy fast?
Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.

It teaches you to optimise your corner speed and ride smoothly cause it take to long to get the bastards back up to pace if you roll off the throttle to much
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

    Truer words were never spoken.

Anyway --- have you made your mind up?? Or been on more test rides??
