This thread is a fucking hoot, made more so as its posted on a motorcycle forum.Women and motorcycles have always had lots in common though much more these days it seems though the theme for both since time began is much the same ie cunts climb aboard with no ability whatsoever to handle either.

Relationships are about equal amounts of give and take. If she doesn't want you ride bikes, well shes out of luck. She can concede that you don't want to give up riding. And instead, she wants you to start dancing with her on the weekends. Fair exchange. You keep what you want, and she is happy with what she wants. Concessions. There might be an arguement here and there about the concession being too little, but its healthy. You can't survive a realtionship by being a yes man.

And as this thread doesn't have enough already,

    Fuck.
I never get lost. I go on adventures

My wife (22 years next April) found & bought my bike on Trademe while I was away on a work course. She knew what I was looking for.

I love her very much and she's a great first wife.

I agree! Been there done that too!

Argh - bugger it... You queer pricks are drifting off course...

When we were first married and had a young family there was naff all budget for bikes so it was a $75 TS250 that came in 3 boxes that was ride to work transport (loved that bike). Thats different. Reasonable trade offs are acceptable but ultimatums from either side are not. I have no respect that makes his family suffer because he demands the latest toys motorcycle... Its just the other side of the coin.

Look its simple. With reference to the original piece. If you are a money chasing corporate ho working 70 hours a week and supporting/married to an up her self rich bitch who won't allow you to own a bike or do anything else - then guess what, buying a bike or worse a bike someone else has expensively customized for you won't make you cool or more manly - it will make you an even sadder fuck than you already are...

However, if said sad fuck who is married to an up her self rich bitch who won't allow him to own a bike or do anything else, rides away into the sunset on his expensively customized motorcycle, then I image it would make him way fucken cool and manly!

Correct but the rest of the article is a truism for modern male, works as many hours as his Mrs but gets bitched at for not doing his share of the domestic shit. No time to his self unless she wants to get rid of him and even then it is with strict conditions. Probably only looking at the Deux Machinica bikes because it she thinks they might suit her image, not that she will let him get one, he'll end up with the Mid-Life Crisis BMW convertable.
Makes that sick Lyndale Girls night out ad look believable.

Oh there are some real ball breakers out there for sure and some of them were born that way but more are made by needy little boys pretending to be men. Half the men I've met that bitch about this shit have got themselves to blame... You get married you have kids then it requires some serious commitment and yeah - you will need to make compromises....

Agreed but I don't think this opinion piece was about the ball breakers. They have always been there and so have the male slackers. I think this is about how society has changed from the woman generally being under valued to about a mid-point in the pendulum swing, no this opinion was more like the males now have the worst of it, and that is pushing it a bit.
