    Anyone know what this bike is?

    A friend has this photo of her relative in the 1920's riding a bike. But she has no idea what the bike is. Nor do I

    Anyone on here able to help? Bling offered as reward...

    Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    The front suspension is wrong. The Velocette had the right front suspension, but not the r/h side long shifter. The ajs had the suspension too, but without the shifter. I couldn't figure it out either....

    The exhaust pipe suggested to me a European manufacturer ... British pipes tended to be a little classier than that ...

    Do we know if that picture was taken in New Zealand? The rider looks liek she is wearing a nursing-type uniform .. do we know what this is? Can you give us a better close up of the tank logo?

    I see what I can do re logo. This picture is taken in Europe. Probably in Scandinavia (Finland or Sweden) in the 1920's.

    I see what I can do re logo. This picture is taken in Europe. Probably in Scandinavia (Finland or Sweden) in the 1920's.
    In which case the bike is almost certainly a DKW...
    Always thought that stood for Don't Know What - and it sure fits in this case!!
    Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
