Any recommendation on where to get spares for a 1980’s TY250 mono-shock trials bike

I found the bash plate off a TY in the garden t'other day. Probably off a twin shocker, though. Hopefully the rest of the bike is in there somewhere, the garden's pretty wild.

Local dealer, it's surprising how often parts are 'shifted' between models... and still used..EG my MT-01, forks are from the R1, brakes R1, a lot of the Warrior service parts are usable. MY FJ1200? brake/clutch master cylinders are same as old V max, and cheaper if purchased as the old V max item, go figure!!

Owners group, most bikes have an owners group or an enthusiast,, usually carry links to spares carriers,

Bike breakers.... the most obvious, but s/hand and unknown quality

Your best bet for a rare bike like this is to look overseas. Ebay is a good start.
This place is great http://www.cmsnl.com/ they're a little expensive with the exchange rate, but they have a LOT of parts for old bikes. They don't list the TY250 in the models list, but they do have the 350 http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-ty350s-1...186/partslist/
