I think I'd like to join in again. Missed this little extra last time, done it the time before. It actually feels like a fairly long day in itself, partly due to the numbers I think.

    You have been warned.

No pontoons for us northerners, call us soft but we like to ride around any bog holes or puddles deeper than 1 metre.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

Nice one Matt, I'm in again. Last year was a great ride although a wee spill saw me suffer for the DB12.

Note to self....the DR is not an RM, or should that be "I am not 20 again!"

    Cheers

Cheers Matt. Rode with you in 2011 and had a ball, missed last year unfortunately but will be there for 2013 for sure. The Tiger is safely locked away and will be on a DR this time round.

I won't be there Matt but have a good ride, for any that haven't done it, it's the perfect start to the DB but be aware it's a bit steep in a couple of places so don't take the kitchen sink with you.

Safety reminder... if you fall off and think you've hurt yourself, go and see a doctor, what was the count ast year, a collar bone, a foot and a couple of other minor injuries?

    Hi Ben,
Last year I allowed about 90mins from departure time to get to Blackford rd but due to a couple of breakdowns and others not following close enough behind and thus getting lost it was more like two hours to there. This year I think it would be better if I text a team leader of any group overnighting in Methven etc...otherwise about 10:30 but be there earlier as 30-35 of us won't be waiting for one or two

Likewise last year we had a number of riders turning up after stated departure time.
If for what ever reason you are going to be late for my briefing, we won't be waiting...best you head via tarmac straight to the Rakaia River bridge on SH 77
