Roller tray and a couple of rollers and 3 sleves that I think are ok.
    Various brushes.
    Some sand paper.
    A couple of scrapers.

    Rubber mallot for paving

Dumpy mallot for general smashing etc. Sorry could not find bolster.

    Spade
    Short handle round mouth shovel.

Silicone for roof and silicone gun.
    See my previous post:
I am bringing a 30 metre electric cord and safety thingee and two long hoses.. so that will do for the waterblaster.

I am very handy using a waterblaster, I have thrown in my gumboots and wetweather gear to waterblast.

I can build stuff and in fact can do all sorts of things.

Just hope my energy levels hold out...hehehehe

Ok I am a nerd now, but was a carpenter for about 18yrs.
    As to the deck.

The decking and handrails are not so good and neither are the posts that support the deck.

The structural members appear ok, but due to access I could not get a good look at them. If the decking is removed and the joists do not look rotten they should be ok, I would just paint the joists prior to laying the new decking.

To retain the deck you would need to temporary prop the timber beam say onto a couple of paving slabs with a couple of posts made from doubled up 4x2's then rip out the old posts and footings replace these with say 4x4. posts held up with galv brackets into a 450X450X600 concrete footing. If the galv brackets hold the the posts clear of the ground you should not need the 4x4's to be ground retention grade, just the old H3 grade or equiv. You should use galve brackets and bolts at the top too.

The decking would need replacing too as would the handrails to be safe. So there is a bit of cost to keep the deck, but on the other side if you do not you have an entrance to nowhere.

    Good to meet you too...
Hope your ride home wasnt too cold for you.

I get to paint all over your sanding tomorrow

Mind you after waterblasting all day today... I could do with the easy job of painting the rails on the front and back door steps.
and also weed spray the whole section.

CaN and CaN2 arrived just as you were leaving...
CaN2 got up on top of the garage and stopped all leakages and swept the garage roof and cleaned out the back gutters.

Then CaN, CaN2, MDU and JSG fixed up part of the back fence.

Gareth_D and Mr Skid popped over for a while this morning and helped out.
Mr Plumber came along and did a great job too.

Still heaps to be done yet.

    OK - to summarise...

there was a lot of sweating and grunting,

100's got laid on the driveway out front

One of the women there (a fellow KBer no less) told JustSomeGuy that she wanted it sideways

    White stuff splashed everywhere

There were more gals than guys most of the time (although more guys popped by from time to time - to plug a few gaps).

We found one huge hole that took all afternoon to fill

At the end we were absolutely kncackered... but happy.

What a way to fill a couple of days...

    Did I miss anything?

    Cool

The lad has not yet returned... as I type.

The HUGE bin that was overflowing, has been collected, so he has no idea what we chucked out.... or smashed up...

MDU they didnt take the wheelbarrow.... so it gets to be kinda used on another day.

Just been up there and finished waterblasting the back fences that we rebuilt.. and painted off all the red paint off the side of the garage...

So CaN and who ever else dropped off gear to be used....
Thanks for the wonderful use of the waterblaster... I did have fun with it.
Please go and collect it whenever you can ta.

Thanks to all those who did come along, even for a hour or two to help...

While someone came and went away for a short-time and then didnt return on the first day... oops we weren't meant to mention that were we MDU.
