Well said .... give him heaps ...
BUT ... remember the feelings as you picked yourself up .... and remember them again as you ride knowing you're not paying as much attention as you should.
I'm glad you're still around to tell us about it.
You could get a new helmet/jacket/gloves anyway ... might make you feel better. (the old stuff would be dirty now anyway)

I didn't think the OP was particularly 'look at moi'. Just sounded like either a new and/or not-so-experienced rider asking what to do in the aftermath of her first bike crash. Without the benefit of other riders in the family to ask, I'd have probably done the same thing on here to get advice on what needed to be followed up on.
Each to their own I guess - some will offer sympathetic advice, others will be grumpy old pricks. (Pardon the cactus reference). It warms the cockles of me 'eart to know that women riders don't necessarily have to restrict themselves to Biker Angels in order to get tea-and-sympathy around here!
Btw, did anyone else's eyes water when they watched the cactus being snapped in half using the wedgie method?
Gave 'Buns of Steel' a whole new meaning, didn't it?![]()

Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behaviour does.
Yep, I was still using the wrist. It didn't move properly, but I just thought that was because it was bruised or something. I went and visited the doctor later on, got an x-ray, and ended up needing to have surgery to have pins inserted to hold it back together and a cast to imobilise it.

Heh yeah, I'll defo be remembering that feeling, thanks.
Heh thanks. I totally laughed!
Ouch!! :/
Update -
Claim has been accepted, damage to bike is (that I know of) - bent front fork, bent front wheel, bent handlebars, and need a new foot rest and some cosmetic scratches that I don't really care too much about. Going to get it looked over officially for the claim this weekend.
Got my ankle x-rayed, there's some bruising to the bone and tissue but no fracture or break or anything.
Thanks guys, like PrincessBandit said, I only came on here and posted like I did as I don't have any friends/family who ride bikes (except for Aph who hasn't crashed) so I wasn't aware if there was anything special, also I was in a bit of shock/pissed off. And now I know what to do in the future.
I appreciate your words/messages they've been great. And I also appreciate the trolls. Cause what would the internet be without them? Plus it made everything quite amusing. Lolz were had.
lol - you took the words right out of my mouth! Don't stress - his comments are more of a reflection of what a complete tosser he is rather than any reflection on you. Glad you are ok. Had to watch a friend get buried 3 years ago this xmas eve due to someone doing a U-turn in front of him![]()
Winding up old men on cruisers and "computer bikers" since 2008.........LMAO
