Different animal though. More structured than when it was just us being loose units in the boondocks.

The Hog nationals are much more trade show than traditional MC rally.

However like with so many things in life you get what you put in. I am looking forward to getting up there a few days early and doing as many of the day trips as possible. Its been ages since I have been to Auckland other than on work and I am really looking forward to the trip. Planning to take our time and trip up the north island east coast and back down the west.

I have 2 weeks off but I are minding the shop over xmass and I will have to work on most of the stat days so I should have another weeks holiday in lue by then. If I have more time I will go up to the far north.

I have fitted and tuned up a 80,40,20m aerial on the back of the scooter and have also programmed all the national repeater frequencies into a hand held. Now I just have to sharpen the tip so I generate a nice corona on the end of the antenna, I bet that will make the tail gaters to back off quickly.

Ellerslie. 10.5 years I lived in Ellerslie (but we called it Remuera).
Good Venue for the event though.
