Got a new set of TOR's fitted last night. So far very happy with them. Bike booked in for Saturday morning for the tune.
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

Got quoted $60-80 here at my local Triumph dealership but will confirm afterward.

Holeshot in Auckland quoted flat fee of $45 but that would mean I still have to ride the bike there so add gas to that. (not that there is anything wrong with a day trip to Dauckland)

You obviously fitted the pipes yourself? I remember when I threw the TBR onto the Daytona, I asked Hamilton Motorcycles about the tune. Was expecting them to tell me about a charge. The good thing is, I left it until my first service and they said they'll do it at the same time "we just plug it in".

The triumph "wreaker" (the one that works from his home) in Dorkland says he'll throw on any tune free of charge. Can't remember where he was or what his name was.

It's certainly a mixed response regarding costs. I know some places don't charge. Suppose it comes down to how much you fluttered your pretty eyelashes

    Taken photos yet?

I have asked Matt why such a steep charge for such a simple task. Was told that the shop invested X ammount of $$ on the computer and program and they had to charge to make that back.

Yes, fitted the pies my self the other night. Easy 30 minute job really. I have heard about the guy in Auckland. infact I have his business card at home on my fridge. Didn't know he did tunes as well tho. Pics this weekend

Worked out $60 for the tune, and they even fixed RH side exhaust leak in the joint

    Cheers, that's good to know.

Perhaps worth purchasing the OBD-2 cable and using TuneECU yourself. If you like fiddling of course?

I got a new tune installed on my Tiger 1050 from MCR in Dunedin. Charged me $26 for it.

Isn't there a free program you can get? You just need the cable.
