XR 200 - serial number where?

my son has just bought a '85 XR200.........where would he find the Serial number and panel with year etc.

Jelly mans onto it, there should be a silver plate on the head stock with the frame and engine number and yr and mth of manufacture, the engine number should be down by oil filter drain.
A bit surprised an 84/5 XR200 is still kicking as these were a known problem model with the twin carb set up and over heating issues and were only build for 2 yrs.
