    DB1K checklist

    Got

    Spare tubes
    Dual spanner for axle nuts
    Spare Clutch/Brake levers
    Gear lever
    Navigational aids
    Basic set of tools
Spare gloves and winter liners for jacket and pants

    Will sort spare chain link

Is a fire extinguisher really necessary ?

What else can be added to the list - a must ? (Don't want to take whole lot of unnecessary crap)

Yes. We go through a track that is forested alongside and a bunch of high country that will be dry grass.

Ask Monsterman when he gets back from North America.
His crashed bike managed to burn a couple of hundred acres of prime Central Otago scrubland ....

Carrying the fire extinguisher is more about liabilty, and prevention of large scale fire. A small fire can be stopped BEFORE it's a BIG fire.
Crashes, fuel and hot engines in tinder dry grasses don't mix so good.

    .
I don't think he even had to crash it for it to catch fire, was just riding along IIRC.

    Epoxy putty.
    Something to clean your visor/googles.

I thought I had my navigational aid all sorted but she broke her ankle. Will hopefully be ok after a reboot in a few weeks though
