Fair weather rider
...I must say that the day I spent riding up Palomar Mountain and the Lake Henshaw area was one of the days in my riding life. Memorable also the run up and down to ?Borrego Springs? Done on an FZ1 with upped suspension and a chip... wow, that is some amazing country. Highly recommended for those contemplating an American journey. If you ever have a chance, go.
Note: even given this area, the best sports touring is in northern California, so you can imagine what a wealth of treasures are on hand.
