Parking at night in a rural 70kmh zone?

I've lost count of how many times I've come over the brow of a hill or around a corner an there's a cop car parking half on and half off the road because he's in the process of booking somebody for something.

I've got no issue with people getting pulled for what ever reason,,,but for fuck sake why do they have to block half the lane to do it ?

The loads I carry are very often over width so I have to cross the center line to avoid these clowns and when there's so little warning it's just a matter of time before somebody pays the ultimate price of what to me looks like nothing more than a stupid an lazy action by those that would absolutely dump on anybody else that did the same thing.

So yeah,I guess the cops are above the very laws they shove down everybody else's throats.

Oh c'mon now, in practical terms a Police car blocking your lane to the extent you might have an accident is almost a non-issue. It's not as if you're speeding and outdriving your sightlines, right?

Although I will admit I've had a bit of a telling off from one officer who'd stopped someone, and his patrol car was parked in the usual manner. The double yellow centreline, the brow of the hill just ahead, and me refusing to take up more room than I was happy with, got this youngish officer quite excited. He calmed down when he found out I had 32,000 litres of JetA1 in my tanker...

But all in all, I don't have an issue with how Mr Plod parks most of the time...unless I'm speeding on my bike, which rarely happens

The pain in the ass thing is when you come around a bend and the cop has pulled over someone on the otherside of the road, not only do you get some wicked bright LED blue and reds, but alternative flashing high beams.

What's the issue, I mean high beams aren't that dazzling when it's only one (at a time), are they? They just help us motorcyclists (and/or popo) be seen better, they don't annoy or frustrate other road users at all...
