Some drivers are just fucked in the head. Had to bring the cage this morning, got there about 6:30, some retards merging before the first warning sign telling you to merge in 400m, there choice but stopped both lines instead of zip. I didn't and carried on in right heading for merge point and some retard in a truck decides he will block the right lanes forcing the merge half a k early, went around him even in the cage and yet they didn't give a shit about the queue jumpers going up and over the Churton Park ramps. If they just let the merge happen where it should have like a zip as it should then the whole thing would have been a lot smoother for them.

Point is it it not just bikes these retards feel they must enforce their view of the world on.

I commute on the gixxer sixxer most days. Round town it pootles along like a tame pussycat. Oh and you can roar past stuff too if you want to...course, I'D never do that...

I took the Norton to work today.....on my 1000 km trip to Whangamomona and back on the weekend was getting over 60 MPG....68 on the last leg at a steady 100ish kmph.
Clearly the hand operated engine management system works well enough, sometimes I'd take it past 4000 rpm if needed, but you don't have to as the long stroke engine has so much torque....am I missing my Triumph Thruxton.........

Gawd, Fulton Hogan and their (well let's be honest here) sizable fuck up in the southbound traffic this morning. I hope somebody gets their arse kicked into next week. between that and having to dig up the bit at Plimmerton less than 24hrs after it went down due to potholes and slumping one starts to wonder if they actually know what the fuck they are doing.

Yes - they had all their wagons in a circle and were all looking very hi vis sheepish on the side of the road while everyone crawled past glaring daggers at them... I suspect if a few of the commuters had bows and arrows it may well have looked like the savages attacking a wagon train... except the wagon train truly deserved it this time...

In cases like this you can feel the heat from the cars... Global warming all right...

The dread Mk2 has been pressed into commuter duty on occasion and like everything else it approaches this with a great deal of enthusiasm and very little natural ability. Its like entering an excitable Labrador into a greyhound race... Lots of laughs and slobber, no chance of winning but then again it seldom comes last either. I generally pull in occasionally and let braver madder souls sweep past before they collapse with laughter...

It really is a bit of theater to ride.
