the penalties will be starting to hurt the teams chances of winning. Then again you got no chance of winning if ya bikes got no engine, so guess its an easy decision to make in the end

Seems like the 2nd engine may have been a delayed comment about the first change and not a second engine.

Pyndon hit a rock and blew apart the left bottom fork leg.
Spewing oil, could see the threads on the chrome leg, could see the shim stack!

Dismantled the fork and fixed it with liquid metal and zip ties on the side of the track

He can also pride himself on the fact that he helped his Portuguese lieutenant Ruben Faria onto the second step of the podium, rounding off a historic double for the KTM Red Bull Rally Factory Team. The car race saw another Frenchman celebrate his fifth win... on four wheels. Stéphane Peterhansel was crowned in Santiago, broke Ari Vatanen's record for most wins in the car category and raised to 11 the bar for most Dakar victories overall.
    Pyndon finished!

Luis finished on the KTM 150!

    No pics of him yet...

I mentioned early in the race (about Stage 3 or 4 I think) that I was real busy with a major project for work so wouldn't be contributing to the F5irehose this year. I just want to say that I've really, really appreciated all the inside news I got to pick up here on ADV. This was undoubtedly the best source for the behind the scenes background and news on the pack. Thanks everyone:clap.

This year I worked so that next year I can play:deal. Which brings me to the news I am most desperate for ... where will I be for the start and finish next year?:ear In which city will I be for Xmas in 2013? In which city will I be nursing a hangover at the finish?:freaky

    Cheers

How about putting a crank, rod and piston in a 690 and turning it into a 450.

mate those EVO2 kits look the business. Even if I was good enough and could afford the dakar price tag, I'd be too worried about breaking/destroying such a cool bike to concentrate on riding it:facepalm:
