Helmets double your chances of surviving a crash without a serious brain injury.

That sound pretty good until you consider that motorcycling is 18-25 times more dangerous than using a car.

The helmet helps, but its not magic.

And for what its worth, helmets are not compulsory for Sikh or others with an appropriate religious belief, or medical reason. Sikh don't even need to apply for an exemption, they hold it as of right.

So...any stats to prove 'clowns' on motorbikes who wear turbans instead of helmets injure their head more frequently/severely than people who wear helmets???
