A good part of the hill is now 60 km so take care it's going to be easy to be well over this in parts. It is mainly the Southern side to well past Battle Hill.

this is so sad (60km/hr) for both cars and bikes!

We came, We listened, And in one voice we answered
BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!!
There's a dopey looking fuck in a uniform in Kapiti. Bounces along on his toes with his hat pulled down pushing his ears out.
Jeesus, what a fine specimin. Told me my warrant had run out, I suggested he read it again, it wasn't.
Since found out he's a known drongo.Lycra would suit him.

been discussed already. This is the result of no-one giving a s...t. You've been shafted.......again. Common sense gone out the window. Bring on the camper vans. The 60km/hr limit signs will go from Pauatahanui right to close to the summit (PCC boundary). Dumb, dumb, dumb.
I think people give a shit and many made submissions but that does not mean you will be listened to. This decision was made long ago - time since then has just been 'process'....
Yep, the outcome was predetermined and I don't know how many made submissions. The rationale (to reduce the speed limit) was shonky in my view from the outset. A limit of 70-80km/hr was pretty reasonable for this stretch taking into account road conditions, corner speed advisory signage etc etc.. Don't forget it had already been dropped from 100km/hr a few years back.
But a lot of people are going to get a wake up call once it is policed: and believe me it will be policed heavily after an initial grace period.
60km/hr: Its Not A Target!
Given the traffic it carries, the increase in urban ruralites and the accident rate it was a no brainer.... I should be able to tear over there flat out on the AC50 soon... CHOICE!
