I'd add get the engine number also and check that to.
Always try to view at an address not a park or meeting place, any receipts for work done and parts is a help, ask for/take a photo of the seller and ID take down any rego numbers etc.
Dead give a ways are the plastics are painted , bits removed/cut off , poorly maintained etc.
