    Almost got it

After saving for ages and biding my time for one to come up, I finally saw a honda fury for a decent price and in good nick come up at amps. Went and had a look at it yesterday, test rode it, sweet, love it, went back today to put a holding deposit on it and lo and fucking behold, it has a sold sticker on it. Some cunt has put a hold on it before me...damn it.
Merry fucking christmas, but it's alright, I'l just shop around for another well priced fury on the market....wait, damn I forgot were in NZ, where finding a decently priced bike like that without having 30000 people fighting over it because it is one of three for sale is impossible.

I envy those overseas market, almost makes me want to just import a bike.

I hate it when stuff like this happens, now I'll be a right grumpy tosser for the rest of today.

Anyone else have stories of being pipped at the post buying a bike.

I would love a harley, but they are priced too high, stupidly high.

In North Dunedin, late in 1980's

Took a Ducati Pantah out for a test ride. Went to bank to arrange finance.

Back to the shop the next day - and it had burned down.

I pipped somebody else to a purchase a few weeks ago... haha, apparently he wasn't happy and insisted he be able to buy instead.

Twas funny and I was relieved I won (and I paid less than sticker while he was insisting he buy and pay more than sticker)

Jail house autos in Hamilton "1975" had a Trophy I really wanted.

Spoke to the guy that owned the shop,,,,got taken for a ride on the back

Two days later I came back with the bucks and it had been stolen by some up standing dude he did let ride it for himself.

The thief turned out to be "chook" from the outcasts,,,,a real bright guy was ole chook.

Anyway it saved me the pain of getting ripped off I guess.

Not a bike but a car this year.
Saw a manual starlet on trademe I really wanted in Welly..also found out the engine was just rebuilt before trade-in.Which the dealer did not know.Anyway I called up the dealer saying I was going to buy it on my first day off.Booked my flight tickets for early next day, arranged accomodation then that night,I had a funny feeling just as we were getting ready to leave.Called the dealer who said the car just sold....grr!!

Have you ridden a Fury? You may be disappointed. I know I was when I rode one and my husband was never really happy with his.
He was looking at a Harley and the Fury, and decided on the Fury. We ended up trading the Fury back and getting the Harley he had originally wanted, and losing thousands in the process.

Yeah, I have, ridden it a few times now. They were released way too expensive, the price this one was for with the pipes and extras is what it should have retailed at, leaving enough in the wallet to add personal modifications.

Oh well, that's life. I'm looking at some other bikes today, going to check out some victory's and then some kawasaki full dress cruisers, there is jack all on the market at the moment.
