Road Works, Back way to Puke

For all of those who enjoy the back road Drury to Pukekohe(Burtt Rd) thats the one that starts just under the rail overbridge at Drury end of H/W 22, and comes out at Tiumata/capehill rds Puke, they have just started major roadworks/ widen/dig up, shit on road/machines everywhere,at the southern end of the road, this is a popular route for bikes, both for us local yokles and visiters to Puke (ie races days)

may pay to use another route for a couple of weeks

As some of you have commented the works had stopped for the holidays, just to let you know , they have started again, the road has been completly dug up @ the southern end, and is well worth avoiding, there is a nice little back road via Runciman Rd- Tuimata-Cape Hill -Pukekohe.
