Dirtbike in a double cab?

hey guys, im going to be getting a dirt bike and im starting to think about transporting it.

Im not to keen on trailers as il have nowhere to park it, and with a baby on the way a single cab is a no no.

the ideal transportation would be a double cab ute but im wondering if a dirtbike will fit in the back? How about with the tailgate down?

Also does anyone have any experience with baby car seats in an xtra cab?
What are peoples opinions on those bike carriers?

L rider might be able to help as she has a double cab and has car seats in them. I am not sure on this part.

However....Most trays will fit a bike in them, sometimes on a slight angle with the tail gate down. You can pick up on Torpedo 7 a ramp that can be used to go around the back of your bike so you can load more of your bike stuff in the back.

wellside '89 double cab L200 will fit 3 bikes across the back with the 'gate down, think the biggest i ever put in there was an RF900.

will fit an 88 ts185 in diagonally with the gate up, too.

better bet would be get a flatdeck for it, then you don't have to worry about the f*ing wheel arches and can fit quads on aswell.

You can easily fit a bike on the back of a Hilux double cab with the tailgate down.

Single cab = bike straight, tail gate up
Cab plus = bike on a angle with tail gate up
Double cab = bike straight or on an angle tail gate down.

Here ya go

Researched?? this off the internet then made my variation of it with removable slip in third bike set back.

No holes drilled in the ute, mounted off the original tie down points, tonneua cover still works.

Simple but effective :-)

1 x 50x20 box
few bits of 50x50 angle
Some pieces of 40x40 box
1 x trip to galvanisers

Basically whateva was lying round at work???
