"Sorry Officer, umm.... my yellow power band got stuck wide open"
Prorider does courses in Hamilton but affordable is something different. They provide bikes though so that is quite useful.
Ward Fischer runs the Hamilton Motorcycle Riding School. Or he used to a couple of years ago anyway. I did an advanced course with him once. Was good.

Wayne Holden is another Hamilton-based trainer (holdendrivertraining@hotmail.com , 0800 855 7521). He is an ex-chief regional police instructor and he also happens to be my old mentor in the Institute of Advanced Motorists. One of the nicest guys around and I can personally vouch for his training skills. You can see a bit about him here: http://geoffjames.blogspot.co.nz/201...at-office.html.
Cheers,

My friends and I did ours through Passrite in Te Rapa. Great people to deal with.
Another +1 for Passrite, did my BHS with them and they were the most cost effective/responsive at the time. (didnt check holden or prorider though)

+1 for Ward Fischer. I did my BHS test through him, and it was good to have a run through all the things that will be tested first.
