    Useless server provider

I've had enough of the server provider ServerPronto and will be looking at changing providers as soon as I can.

They've proved themselves to be totally unreliable and they take forever to action problem tickets.

Yeah it sucks when we can't get on all morning. Is it going to cost more for a better server. Do we all need to put our hands in our pockets quicksmart??

I can never get any answer from them on why the past two servers have died. I always check through the logs but there is no indication why.

It's gonna cost to change providers and I'm skint since paying for the GB. So any donations would really help.

I also want to get a server with more memory as the current one gets slow due to excessive swapping when the server gets busy.

    I'm hosting mandrakeusers.org at kernow-webhosting.com

    It rocks !!
I've had about 2 days down time in 2 years, and they have 24 hour contact (if you know the poeple to contact)

    Got any other prospects?
I've been shoppiong around for good hosting for a full-on forum for years and kernow provide the best uptime/service for the money.

    Just my 2c worth

Excellent idea. I will do the same. KB has given me many hours of entertainment and I've made some bloody good mates through it, so it's definately time to give something back.

Thanks Spank Me for all your hard work.

I'll third that. Time to give back some of what we've got from this site.

They're a web space provider, but I rent an actual server. Even their top data transfer rate is only a quarter of what I use. I'm probably gonna try http://www.meganetserve.com/
