I do want to look at getting the wheels done orange though. would you recommend whoever you used for powercoating to do it?
It's unlikely that you'll get a powder in the right shade of orange, so for those bits you'll probably want to have it painted in a 2 pak paint like Honda do.

The powder is available, but it needs to be purchased in bulk IIRC.

Arkro Powder Coating, on the 'shore. Yup I'd definitely recommend them! Um I took my time putting it all back together, rebuilt the motor at the same time and did some other bits and pieces too. If you've already got all the right tools though, you should feasibly rebuild the whole bike in 3 full days, so long as you know what you're doing...! :-)

I did try the oven cleaner trick on my frame, but didn't have much success...

What brand were you suing? I've stripped a few frames with Easy Off or something, anything that's properly caustic works
Otherwise some proper paint stripper works. I just stripped part of a Honda Bros frame this morning, nice and naked now

I don't remember the brand. Kinda glad I gave up on it actually, powder coat looks a million times better than polished on my bike I reckon!

It's pretty pointless having a bling frame hiding behind fairings

Haha not likely, not after the amount of money I've put into it! Not unless your name is Andrew Stroud or Sloan Frost! Lol

Hopefully going to start the process this long weekend. Stripping off fairings and cleaning up the frame. Decided im going to keep the silver look and going to respray the rear subframe either black or silver.

Il take pics as I go
