Four Passes in One Day (apologies to Neil Finn)

I know that this isn't anything as challenging as the 1000-miler, or the Sth X, but one of our mates last week did "four passes in one day" (on an R1):

Greymouth departure 06:15 am - Lewis Pass- Rangiora- Arthurs Pass - Hokitika - Haast Pass - Hawea - Lindis Pass - Oamaru (07:15 pm)

1252 KM 13 Hours (average speed 96 KPH)

    $92.86 for Petrol

Tired but didn't need lifting off by crane.

    Anyone done anything similar?

If any one is in the Sth Island from 20-dec -> 10-jan and wants to do this let me know.  I'd be keen to give it a go.  I was already thinking of doing Lewis and Arthurs in one days but why stop there !!

Matt: yeah, you got it right, it was Stephen.

Hope you have a good time down Sth if I'm not talking to you before you go. Hope the tender bits stand up okay.
