What are some of your blonde (or grey) moments?

Ginny and I went for our first ride in just over a week today, rode about 20 metres and thought fuck I forgot to put on my seatbelt!!

Then, when we got back after about 1 1/2 hours I finally got off my bike and saw my phone sitting on my seat, was wondering why my butt was a bit sore? lucky it stayed put cause I stood up a few times at a few sets of lights.

    sigh...

    anybody else?

Started an oil change, drained the old oil and put in a new filter. Phone went, answered it, came back and started to fill with new oil. Forgot to replace the drain plug first. D'oh !
RSV Mille: No madam, its an Aprilia, not a Harley. If it were a Harley, I would be pushing it !

I have a backpack that I tie onto the pack rack with its own straps, its like an old canvas square thing, perfect size for the rack,
Anyways this was a while ago, I was going away camping and loaded the bag up put it on the back rack, forgot I left my keys inside, so I went inside to grab them, got on the bike and left, stopped at the first set of lights and watched my backpack slide past.

Riding down a hill in town a week ago after parking on a hill, wondering what that scraping noise was. Looked down at a red light - sidestand was scraping the ground! Luckily I didn't do any left turns. I always double check now.

Lived in Orkers back in the day.

Parked my patrol bike on the Southern kerb of Victoria Street East, just West of Albert Street. Reversed into the kerb, intending to sit on the bike and bust anyone who blew the red light travelling South on Albert. About late 1989, early 1990.

Anyone who knows that intersection knows that it's steep downhill toward Queen Street.

Thing is, I put my left foot down to steady myself, something I've always done. Sadly, there was a deep drain there, and my foot went into fresh air. The combi of the steep slope down to my left and the very low drain cover caught me out.

Soon I was lying on my left side with the R80RT-P lying on top of me, and passers-by wondering why I had chosen to park with the bike on it's side, and me under it.

A nice man eventually stopped and help me lift the bike off myself. I then rode off, feeling like a total chump. Totally correctly so, I might add.

Doing a burnout on a wooden bridge on my pe400, and ending up fishing the bike out of 2 and a half meters of water.
