    Exempt Class B

    Wondered how many people are getting away with running their bikes on Exemp Class B ??

    Also if anyone has actually been nicked for having the wrong type of Rego and what the fine was?

    No fine, but was a 28 day impounding with the associated 28 day storage bill.

    Its very popular down here.

    The secret is keep your WOF up to date because when the rozza pull you over and check the vehicle data, the class of rego is on another computer page and it comes back from coms is the reg expiry and wof expiry dates. If they come up with a reg and no wof they check why and you are stuffed.

    The big letter "B" on the label tends to give it away if the policeman can see the label. And if he can't you get the ticket anyway as the ticket is for "Failure to display a current label" rather than not being licensed.

    The meter maids love my wife, as she keeps putting the new label behind the old one, and they ticket her perfectly legal car for $200

    That's her problem. Failure to display is separate and independent of the actual status of the rego.
