    Any Brutale owners here?

I have fallen for the new Brutale 800 and am seriously considering making one mine when they finally get here.
However I have also been browsing a couple of Brutale forums and have seen very scary fuel consumption figures bandied about.
It seems 10l/100km is about as good as it gets with some saying they are more like 12l/100km. It also appears that riding style makes little difference and that there isn't much difference between the engine sizes. The 800 comes with a 16.6 litre tank.
The cost of fuelling it isn't so much the issue, its range I am concerned about.
Going by the figures quoted I'll be looking at 130k-160k ish per fill. So i'll get 1.5 hrs ish of riding before needing to fill.
That could well be a deal breaker for me. I like long rides in the wops and while that range will see me right in most cases I feel like I'm gonna be one wrong turn or miscalculation and i'll be sitting on the side of the road.
So Brutale owners does this sound correct. Whats your fuel consumption like?

Relax, the consumption horror stories relate to the 4 cylinder Brutales, not the triples. I would have considered a 1090R Brut but read the owners reports of the so called massive 23l tank running dry after only 160km

The MV 675 triple is very fuel efficient. Mine only holds a real world 15.5l * from full to push it, but I get 260+km range hard riding and have exceeded 280km on a tank with more commuter riding thrown in the mix.

The 800 Brut is going to be awesome.

    * you can not trust manufacturers claimed tank capacities. Usually always less in reality.

Had what is now viewed as an 'old' 910R Brutale and sure it did drink a bit but in all honesty I didn't care as it was simply too much fun to ride so was ok with it's limitation re distance per tank.
I could get from Tga to Auckland....200kms.

Obviously I haven't sat on an 800 but be aware that the rearsets on all other models are very 'track orientated'...high.
Exquisite handling machines, best I have ever owned
