Can anyone reccomend some of the cheaper option boots out there, say under $250?

I got Thor's or some such. IIR I paid shy of $200. Can't walk far in them but they are taking a beating with no signs of failure.

Cycle treads do the W2's for under $200 and they are a great boot for the money. My last set lasted for 3 years.

Don't get no fear ones, they are stupidly narrow and they don't last that well.

Check torpedo 7 for deals too. If you can find some apline star tech3's for cheap they are good bang for buck.

Thanks for the replys so far.

Yeah saw Torpedo7 had a sale on, just not so keen due to not being able to try on before I buy.
According to there sizing charts I am a size 9, yet all my other shoes, and current boots are between size 10-12, so hard to pick the right size without trying first.

Go try some on at a shop then buy online, a bit cheeky but save a fair chunk, had some Thor ratchets wouldn't recommend them $250 soles gave out pretty quick one of the ratchet handles snapped and a couple of the mounting screws ripped out only used them for about 50hours

Or, you could go to the store, talk to the staff, try on the boots, then say you've seen them advertised for X price online and see if they'll play ball.

Axo Primes are being advertised at $199. Nice looking boot but have a tendency to fall apart.
Soft soles chew out and the rubber heat shield on the calves doesn't stand up to too much punishment.
Son and I have had a few pairs of Tech 3s and they treated us well. You can get them close to $200.
Both gone to Tech 7s but my next ones will be Sidi's with the ankle pivot.

I have Tech 3's, they annoy the shit out of me!

I only bought them because they were so cheap I couldn't say no, but with the idea that when they wore out I'd buy the Tech 8's I really wanted.

    They won't bloody wear out.

Comfy as hell too, especially as I have tree trunk legs and most boots I have to buy a size 11 to fit my calves into them, but the Tech 3's are the correct size 9.
