    First solo multi-day trip

So first solo trip looking forward to it. Thought I would let people know where I'm going so you can all watch out for a newb .

I've taken off a couple of days after this weekend to go riding. So if you happen to see a lost Green Ninja 250r in the weekend, Monday and Tuesday give me a wave.

Will be going through the following places Start Tauranga -> Whakatane -> Opotiki -> Gisborne -> Napier -> Taihape -> Wanganui -> Stratford -> Whangamomona -> Okahukura -> Tokoroa -> Tauranga.

Hope to see some others out on the weekend.

Drink and eat plenty. You need to refuel as well as the bike. Good on ya for doing it.

I hope the weather holds ...

Yeah, might see you out on the road on Saturday. Going Welly to Mount tomorrow (Friday) and returning Saturday Mount to Welly, not sure which route I'll take but it won't be the most direct one that's for damn sure

Good luck! Wow what a ride. around 1250 kms? Doing the Gentle Annie?

I guess 4 days is 'only' a bit over 300 a day depending.

Be sure to look over the bike before you go. I found a staple in my tire the day before I did my first solo multi-day (wellington, taupo, napier, wellington)

Opitiki - Gisborne was nice in a car....probably awesome on a bike, have fun.

Well that was an amazing ride would definitely recommend it. Was just bliss. Except for the trek from Waunganui to Stratford. Must be the most boring ride I have ever done.

Here's a couple of pics I had along the way Click image for larger version.

Sounds like you had a very good trip. I know what you mean about the wanga - stratford section. Its as bad as kimbolton rd. 10km of basically straight road with a very very slight corner halfway through. I would twiddle my thumbs if I had a throttle lock.
