To clean or not to clean?

If I have enough time to clean the bike, I take it for a ride instead.

well my bike is a fucking minter so it gets a wash everytime i take it for a good ride so at least once a week during summer and since it sits in my garage over winter there is no need to wash it, thats the time i work on it and pimp it out for the up coming summer,

its funny that all the people on here who ride shit house old bikes are the ones who dont bother cleaning them and say "no point as its just gonna get dirty again" but all the ones with nice bikes take pride in them an like to ride something that looks good and looks looked after.

i cleaned mine yesterday and chances are it will get another clean on sunday so long as the weather is ok here in the chur this weekend

I have a Repsol replica which I think looks the shit but I don't clean it very often. (It's never really 'filthy') Doesn't make it any quicker over the Takas LOL

I don't feel so bad when a work Colleague's commuter bike has never had a wash in the 4 years he's owned it. Any fairing scrappage gets touched up with a 1" paint brush & what looks like green 'fence paint' + he gave it an oil change 3 years ago. It's rusty as fuck yet it stills keeps a rollin

Super cheap auto,,,but stay away from the paint work and electrics.

My bike is parked outside 24/7.. I ride it every day.... it doesnt 'lurk in the garage' because it might get 'winter shit' on it, You can clean it as often as you like and have a 'Minter'... lets see it in 100,000km's time? Ah but, you'll ride it 3-5,000km a year max, and sit there crowing how 'wonderful you art'..... and replace it with the latest GSXBKR1 coz it's da shizzzzz, and ya gotta have da shizzz or you aint a real biker, eh?
Go oil ya one piece leathers with the 'notre dame' hunch on the back, polish ya rossi paint job helmet, and write down the memoir's of how frikkin wonderful you are... just dont expect to sell a copy
