Availability isn't always great but sure, there are some nice rides over the port hill etc?
A ride to Akaroa is always good.
If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
Wed night ride for starters,
Any weekend day is a ride to akaroa, alone or with others, the road always has bikes on it over the weekend in summer.
A great ride is dyers, summit road, gebbies down towards mot, left into millers, on to little river to the hill top, left along the summit, down into akaroa and return around the bays over the top, back to millers road, over gebbies to the weatsheif, around the bays to lyttleton, though the tube and home....

Welcome home mate, just sent you a pm (Private Message) but forgot to say that we often organise other rides as well as the WNR. Whenever you have some time off coming up and wanna ride, just pop a post in the forum with where and when etc, we're all usually keen to get out and ride anytime.

So I spent three hours yesterday going from Lyttleton to Tai Tapu over Gebbies, three times, the only other bikes I saw were the triumph rally guys....where were you all?
Yeah I agree , its not hard to get linked up with a few riders here in CHch, once you learn where to go.
Like Blenheim road Z station, Yauldhurst Tavern Car park, Peg Hotel Carpark Belfast, to name three I use.
Depends which direction you want to go.
