Idiots like the safety homo are too easily confused and are likely to take it out of context and see it as a vindication of our local filth getting a paltry hand slap when breaking the law by comitting considerably more reckless acts (U turns at road crests) than using a cell phone when driving.

    See
I was meaning what people were comparing this particular incident to. Quite different situations imo

Just one or three facts for u

"U" turn was commenced approximately 65mtrs from the crest of the hill, at 100km stopping distance on a motorcycle on a dry road is approximately 96mtrs.

Avoidance at less than 40kms should have been easy, if not chances of survival should have been.

Very doubtful that at a collision rate of approximately 40kms a rider would upon a sudden stop fly 70 further mtrs and impact a tree.

Oh and its a pointless point but the rode code requires you to proceed at a speed where by you can stop in half the visible distance ahead.

Final fact on a bike a fuckup often really is.
Don't judge me based upon your ignorance.

Unfortunately our laws don't allow self defence with such force.

    Explanation:
I worked in and ran bars & nightclubs all around NZ for 14yrs mate...I saw the Popo dealing with ALOT of drunken louts!...and some times...they NEEDED the help!:

When the two Popo in manchester st CHCh got jumped by 7 gutless skin heads(for no reason), the poor police lady got knocked out cold, and they where kicking the shit out of her partner (on the ground!!...fucking cowards!)...Myself and my door man ran over and "intervened"....Im just a skinny little white boy...but for about 12yrs I had the pleasure of learning 3 styles of martial arts (I sure as shit aint no bruce lee tho...lost far too many fights to claim that lol)...but I can look after myself..and others in need!

Everyone else on manchester st just stood there and watched those poor bloody cops nearly get killed...we didnt!...copped a few, got a cracked rib, but managaed to put the biggest peice of shit straight through cash converters main window, and my door man was one of the best in ChCh...he was just having fun and not holding ANYTHING back

Thats just ONE of the many occassions Ive had to roll around on the ground to assist the police when arseholes have out numbered them and they have required a hand...and sure, sometimes...we have lost the fight and ended up in A&E bleeding and aching together while having a laugh at each others injuries

But I Will NEVER stand by and watch cowards attack people!...and no fucking way will I stand back and watch the popo be attacked by scum!..they deserve respect for the prick of a job they do, and certainly do not deserve to be attacked for doing there job!

So yeah mate...several beatings taken for them...but we won more than we lost!

...and I'm damn proud of doing it! (But my missus has told me Im not allowed to just "jump in" anymore...old, partially crippled and have kids now....but I honestly don't see it stopping me if the need ever arises again...Im stupid remember lol)

When Life thows me a curve
    ...I lean into it!
