Smile Hard luggage for a D model ZZR1100?

    Hi Everyone,

I have made the plunge and now am the stoked owner of a 1996 ZZR 1100. I would however, like to get a hard luggage mounting/ rack system for this bike so I can convince the better half to come along for some extended rides. I have searched the interweb extensively and it appears that there is no longer a lot available. So my questions are thus:

    1) Does anyone have a ZZR and has retro fitted a hard luggage system from any provider- do you have a recomendation?
    2) Which NZ outlet/ supplier is worth talking to?
    3) Are there any mounting systems that fit other makes or later model bikes that can be modified to work?

I have read every post I could find on this forum and several others but either I am missing a magic key word or its not a common topic. I also note that a ZZR is not a BMW :-) but this bike is a keeper so want to extend its use.

    Thanks for your time.

    Roddy

Congratulations on the ZZR purchase. They're simply superb bikes in my opinion & I'll always regret parting with mine (why can't women understand that there is nothing wrong with having more than one big-bore Kawasaki in the shed?)

Not too sure about the luggage thing but I'd reccomend getting in touch with Dold Industries in Hamihole, agents for Ventura.

Also, the zrxoc and zrxoa sites are good resources for anything with a "zr" in it :P (and welcome to the club.. mines a zrx, but hey.. :P)

Thanks for the replies guys, glad to be on board. What I am looking for is a monolock style system similar to a givi style box setup so the wife can use the back/ topbox as a back rest.

    Something like the GIVI 46

What the problem is is the mounting system- I am looking for something like this:
