Riding naked and with no protection

The quandary is, though I very much like riding naked, it’s the ‘’no protection’’ bit that now has me thinking. …. The wind wash (or buffering) from some of the smaller trucks whilst following is annoying, even for a few moments.
A few weeks ago, I found it tiring riding into a stiff south wester.
The Yamaha has a small deflector out front, but you sit higher on it than what you do on say, a CB/XJR etc.

Not a great believer in adding screens to naked bikes, they are naked after all, and you buy them like that for a reason.
I relented and put a very small screen on CB, could hardly notice it and it worked a treat.
Don’t won’t to add a screen to the Yamaha, I like the aesthetics as they are.

Quite taken with the Tiger, had a decent ride on one late last year. That bike is a serious option and looking forward to the new breed arriving in March. (pic below)
The Sprint GT is a very nice bike in the flesh.
Still have soft spot for the ST also (Yes, I want another Triumph, can you tell?)
Outside chance I will look at both the VFR1200 and Z1000sx.

Don’t know, maybe I am just looking for an excuse to buy another bike?

I thought about the VFR1200....but the tank and range were not good in 2011 spec. Also thinking about the Z1000sx, but think for a second bike I want the ZXR14 in blue and black....seems NZ only gets them in green

Just can't see myself sticking with a naked bike, I love what I have and enjoy it very much, it just becomes quite taxing at times, physically.....and mentally after a long stint riding in the wind.
Both the Honda and Kawasaki (would have to be black) have been on my watchlist from time to time.

I have never seen the problem you bunch cry about with naked riding.
My Kawasaki is more fun without the fairings, there's no real neck strain unless you're above the top of third gear.

The term 'outside chance' was an attempt to fill the list..in saying that, I like them but not really what I would look for in NEDWN VI.
