The only bike I've ridden that matches the X for comfort, for me, is the Bro's R1200GSA. And that doesn't meet some of my other requirements quite as well.

    Correct. http://www.epjournal.net/wp-content/...s/EP102934.pdf

    Disturbing, innit?
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

At least he is trying all the makes. Not sure what I will do if he turns to the dark side though

The Kawasaki would have been at a stretch to be honest. One other bike popped into view last week that ticked all the boxes and yes, it's the Suzuki.
All personal reasons I went for the Suzuki, which is why you buy a bike right? Those reasons are...

    The write-ups from Hitcher/Jantar
    Long distance rider comfort.
    Laggage capacity.
Its all that I want/need in a bike.
My wife likes it, and will suit her as a pillion if needs be.
Several thousand less than the other options.
    Value for money.
    Looks fanatstic.
    Sweet. Nice bikes.

Good site here for info on them, http://nswbandits.forumotion.net/
