Can't argue with this bit. They an item in which some choose to own/enjoy/talk about/necessitate and at times, spend lots of money...but important? not really.
I mean, if they were, surely they would count as a mode of transport in the census?

My census form has motorcycle as an option for how I got to work.

What is this thread all about?

I understand it to relate to the "dwelling" form not the individual form which DOES count motorbikes....

Its about the "Dwelling" form and question 18 asking what vehicles you have avilable and says "excluding motorcycles"

last census they excluded motorcycles from the way you got to work, after some flak they have added it on this one ...... so to let them know motorcycles are important, lets all write on the forms in bold red the motorcycles we own.

I went onto the census website and have asked them why they have excluded motorcycles when its w often used form of transport and we are required to pay a very hight registration fee to use them.

will be interesting if they actually reply, if they do i will post the reply on here

But I recon all bikers should email similar to them as well.
Wow, really sticking it to the man right here.
