YES !!! So do we. Many of us think "We did not ask to be born ... when did we agree to live by your rules !!! No-one even asked!!!"

So we don't give a fuck ... for our lives ... or for yours ... (and now you're all going to say "And we don't giver a fuck about you either .. which is understandable .. now we don't give a fuck about each other ... but let's get passed that and at least try to break the hate cycle)

Now, I haven't really counted myself as a 1%er since 199something ... when I cut the FTW patch off my leathers .. but I still understand the attitude ...

In the 80's the patched up biker scene was doing well in NZ. Until recently there was a big decline where most of the members were getting old and not much new blood was introduced. That is currently changing and there is a resurrection of the patched up biker going on in NZ. Much can be contributed to the spotlight treatment by the media regarding Ozzy clubs starting chapters in NZ. Another factor would be the increase in unempoyment of youth in NZ.

There is also older "traditional" gangs that have started a MC chapter. And add to it some of the street gangs now proudly wearing their colours on their backs and starting to ride bikes.

The result is more patched up riders on our roads. So better get used to it.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Ahem. Without dating myself even more than I already have...

One of the best things from my yoof was hanging around at the local bike workshop. It had no sales division, it was simply a place that bikes got repaired. I had a crush on a boy that worked there Anyways, I used to go there when I was supposed to be at school, or ballroom dancing or the library

A lot of 1%ers frequented the place. They were so nice to me. I guess I really was the innocent little school gal, I never felt threatened, or compromised or anything else. Infact, far from it, I was told if anyone gave me shit just to let one of them know and it would be sorted

We got offered up a stereo system by one of them (I believe Hells Angel). Really flash unit for the day, radio, casette and record player all in a really nice wooden unit. I accused the guy of it being hot and he denied it! Strongly! It was legit! So we went to look.

He lived at home with his Mom and Dad. Downstairs granted. Went into his pad, and saw a petrol bowser in his room along with said stereo system. He readily boasted him and a couple of "friends" had unbolted the bowser and stolen it, but still said the sound system was legit. We bought it btw.

He was a law student at Auckland Uni. Wonder where he is now?

Life is a funny little thing.

My guess would be - not still patched up.

1% clubs have moved with the times somewhat.

No problem with that. Only becomes a problem when "lawabiding" gets shafted and the badass bikkies (oooh, I mean bikies/bikers) act like they're above the law. (Just like any non-gang rider who does the same).

What if it was done in payments over several days?

Saw a Epitah rider a couple of days back, first time I've seen a patched rider in about a year

No problem if it's in dribbles. Most prefer to do HP's now because.

Yeah ... the days of dropping brown paper bags filled with $20 notes on your desk and saying "Ill take that one" are long gone ...

Yeah years ago I had some peanut turn up cranked of his face, with 32k in a plastic bag. Only problem was, he had buried it, and it was all sopping wet. You got any idea how long it takes to count 32 k, in used $20's that are all stuck together and all over the show...just like the owner. He was getting cranky as hell, and wanted to simply come back later. As I said to him, "You can't do that sorry mate. If you say there's 32k there, and come back in a couple of hours and I say there's only 25 there...we obviously have a problem. So sit down, chill out and I'll count it!". Took over 2hours and three attempts being so stuck. Fuck did I have a sore thumb afterwards too from trying to seperate it all.
