I'm still really fucking bitter about HD killing off Buell. I can't imagine that was really a wise business decision. It really was all bravado and politics wasn't it?

I'll bet they act like sails in a cross wind though. Not my cuppa tea really.

What's not to get? Buel didn't make enough money, they made the 1125 heap of shit when given free reign, and they got axed.

    Simple.

I saw a shaft drive one in the weekend....is it one of those prototype ones here on testing?
New features like rear suspension, foot change and transverse V twin.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Based purely on the merits of the bikes I don't understand why Victory hasn't been more successful in NZ.
Maybe the Indian name will be more so.

I think it's more indication of the strength of the Harley brand.

BATBO - Bitter and twisted Buell owner. I understand that too.
That XB12X is still the best suited bike for me ever.
But then I'm still carrying baggage from a Nissan shafting 25 years ago too.

1125R. There are some good ones. There are some with ongoing electrical issues I read. POS is not an apt description for the ones I tested.
At the time of release it offered the same performance as a Ducati costing 30% more. I never had any trouble with a ZTL brake either.

Buell made up 3% of their Sales. It was a business decision.
The things that they (Harley) do to maintain the 97% as loyal customers are industry leading.
That's their focus and the share price has half recovered to pre '08.

I'd rake it, put a 26" front wheel and Turbo it and win a few shows.
Black out all those shiny bits too.

This is what happens when you work for Heavy Duty too.

Personal thought is that it's always good to see competition, and others perhaps buying something different, rather than being just another other conformist.
