    VTR250 Streetfighter and subframe mod

So, i'm new to kiwirider and yeah not the most experienced with mucking around with motorcycles. But i'm modding my VTR250 to look more like a streetfighter and give it a modern look.

    I've ordered;

    Custom mirrors http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-UNIVERSA...5a838d&vxp=mtr

    Twin LED tail lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/230946707231...S:3160&vxp=mtr

    Going to order

    streetfighter headlight http://www.ebay.com/itm/290822267740...84.m1423.l2649

    and Gold drag bars http://www.ebay.com/itm/250967156618...84.m1423.l2649

And i'll get some pictures up on how i'm modding the sub frame so my bike had a raised rear end. Giving a good streetfighter look.

    Any tips, let me know!

i had those mirrors they look great but go loose and flimsy over a couple of weeks,
    get some bar end ones
that bulb in the headlight (35W) will be real dim you will struggle in the dark almost better with a candle

and with out any emarks you can sometimes struggle to get a wof

There's a significant lack of fighters on this site (or motorbikes in general...)
I'd love to see some pics of your VTR, what year/model is it?

Whatever you do, please don't rock one of those headlights, a VROD or MT-03 one would look much prettier and actually output some light

I'll assume it's an MC33 with the cool trellis frame? I reckon they'd be a wicked streetfighter base to play with I had a Spada and it really helps them out power wise if you build a tuned length or equal length exhaust system (factory rear just goes in to a dirty big balance box)

Yeay a fellow pimping vtr rider! get the seat covered, I did it the same color as the bike, because everyone's got standard boring black, although IV had trouble with LED indicators and wof. Wheels strips and cut that ugly as mud guard thing of! Dirt bike handle bars give it a badass look what kinda wheels have you got in it?

I cant find a decent pipe anywhere!!

So i'm considering buying a long baffle to fit inside the header pipe. Cut the pipe just where the exhaust is, fit the baffle and ride that way? reckon that would beat the stock exhaust? any ideas on a cheaper exhaust system than 600$$

I gutted out two standard mufflers, put straight pipe in them (honey comb/perforated) and steel wool packing. Then made equal length headers and it sounded far vetter than all my other exhausts

I'd be inclined to have a look at Danmoto - I've seen one of their mufflers and they are good value for the $. Made in china but shit-the-bed they are well priced.
Here is a link to their website - you'll need to add shipping but cheap as, think it is in us$ - please check. Also all over ebay. You may need to fabricate a joiner pipe but any decent muffler shop will help you out there. Can't help but think the siamese pipes would look the bizz on ya ride.
