I love the English language when it's used both correctly and incorrectly.

At the risk of saying something ironic, I much prefer it when it is used correctly, or deliberately incorrectly.

My T140 I call "Triumph" because it says so on the tank.

My wife's bike that she doesn't ride but I use daily XJ 750 Yammy we call the "XJ", my XJ 750 are you keeping up, is called " The wreck!" mainly because it is.

    My van is called "Mitsibitshit"

Our 1976 Mini is called "start you bastard" on regular occasions, otherwise is known as "The Mini".

Anyhoo don't forget to add to calendar 19th May, 27th July, and 31 August.

My Tiger 955i is called Louie. After Louie the fly...

For as long as I can recall until we got rid of it last year, my Mitsubishi Van (people mover) was referred to by my children as the crapwagon... nothing to do with my driving...

"Beau" (shortened and feminised reference to Bucephalus) and also because she's purdy. Even the gf caught onto it haha.

Not sure what to name this one yet...the wife mentioned "bumble-bee" and one of my mates reckoned "school bus" or "mellow yellow"...

Give it a wee while and it might just be "Mistress" like so many bikes that have gone before this one

Haven't named the GS1000 as its not on the road yet, although money pot could be an option. However used to have a Katana 650 called soup dragon, I have no idea why it was called that, friend of mine came up with it and it sort of stuck

My motorcycle is either "El Bandito Negro", "George" or "Jorje" (the latin name for George)

Yes my motorcycle is male: He drinks too much, is temperamental, and farts loudly all the time.

Oh and people are disgusted when I ride him in public.

My Mum used to name her cars, she had a Corolla she named Gertrude and a bluebird she named Bessie not something I've ever done but I had a Gemini a few years back that my friends named "the flying shit streak" due to its color, and I had a friend that owned a familia that we used to refer to as "the Ford" because it pissed him off

Currently the DR650 is known as the DR and the R6 is called the R6.
