My bike's called Pidge, derived from Pigeon because he's grey and there are a few 250 Bandits around. I haven't named a vehicle before but thought I would name this one, I always liked it when other people would refer to their vehicles as persons haha.

I never used to but the last few bikes have all had a name...
I named a CBF1000 in metallic black with full fairing, lowers and belly pan "Black Bess"
My XT225 Serow is named Billy (a Serow is a Japanese mountain goat)
My DR250 is named Frank - the previous owner called it Frankenstein because he thought it was ugly but I think he's rather lovely

Well, after GLORIA the Hyo GV250 learner cruiser and Angie the Candy Orange Max Boulevard M50, I'm breaking the link with calling my bikes after a woman's name in a song title.

My white 2002 Honda ST1100 is "Songbird" (after the song written by Chrissie McVie of Fleetwood Mac which features on the Rumours album), that bike makes sweet music out on the road.

(HINT: for pure musical enjoyment, listen to the late Eva Cassidy's version of "Songbird", WOW!)

    Thread dredge:

I have had a new bike for two and a half months now. Never been that fussed about naming my bikes but this one has got a name now.
I went out to the garage one night last week and the bike's ignition immobiliser light on the instrument cluster gave it's regular wee flash. I realised that I was looking for the flash in the semi-dark and that it actually gave me some comfort. I thought "Awww, Mr Blinky". So now my GSR600 is "Mr Blinky".

    I'm sorry.

Age and maturity are related but it's not a fixed relativity.

I started with Rhonda the Honda, I forget the Yamahas and the Kawasakis name but she had one. Then came Suzy the Suzuki, cleopatra the Hayabusa, Gordon the scooter (aka the poo) Alice the Dr and now Jezebel the Honda.

    Awesome names
What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.
