Ditto. Theres no mention of him getting track time or any serious riding tuition.
Thus him= idiot

Yep, never learnt to ride properly in the first place. Good on him for telling his story, but it doesn't do anything to my opinion of his mental capicity.
could he ride again?, having no foot and all...
Well what would you do? Run through the streets stark naked at 350 miles per hour with bells on your toes?
Fuck!!....who is his insurance company, I could have been a millionaire by now :\
Built for speed, not for comfort

Sucks for him and he should consider himself lucky to not be dead I reckon.
I must say that I think the capacity restrictions here in NZ are good but would be better to be a power restriction like they do in Britain but with a bit more than 33hp limit IMO.
What the hell is the speed limit on the freeways/highways anyway? (In USA)
Motorbicycling can be a very unforgiving sport, the weakminded ,impetuous & foolhardy are soon eliminated![]()

Don’t knock the 33hp limit, most 4 cylinder 250's are around this anyway and we (me) still manage to hurt ourselves.Originally Posted by SuperDave

The old 550 XJ I had would have made a good learner bike even if it was a bit heavy.
What is the restriction for a first bike in Australia? Different states have different laws but I think it’s a power to weight thing they have instead of a cc rating.
We all have our little obsessions...
Bike insurance is cheep, I pay $1k a year and $1300 excess If I crash $700 1st party and $600 3rd party, my brother who has been driving scince 15 and is 22 now with a clean record pays $2000 a year and $2000 excess, his car is only worth $1500 more than my bike s insured for...Originally Posted by T.I.E
