The GoPro Hero 3 does have a battery bacpac you can attach. It roughly doubles the recording time. There was a new firmware released the other day that has fixed a lot of problems. Many of the other problems have been found to be due to shithouse MicroSD cards whose write speed drops below the rate required by the camera and thus the camera freezes.

GoPro 3 with the newest firmware and a fast MicroSD card is pretty reliable now

Just got a couple of "Samsung" 32Gb micro sd's for our phones and they play merry hell with them.
    Lockups, resets, errors...

Old 2Gb's in and no issues at all...

Are these 1600 ma/h batteries the same physical size, or is this a 'fat' battery that means you need a different case etc?

    Thanks.

However I am sceptical - I will have to find some reviews - tricky, brand not mentioned.
Its very easy these days for a Chinese made item to have false 'stickers' for various compliance or capacity.

    Has anyone used these?

The first page of this thread has results from testing of some 'claimed' 1200mAh batterys.

That's not a sticker. One Industries are partnered with Monster. It sucks because One's clothing used to be awesome but now you can't buy it without hideous Monster branding all over it.

You can, most of it doesn't have Monster on it.
