Yup but quite tempting to put crap in them that can hurt when you fall off your bike...

Yeah . it looks exactly like a car tyre .. get a decent bike one .. it will make the bike handle better.
Bars are not that expensive ... but fitting them might be ... if it's a bolt-off/bolt-on job then it's only time and a half-way decent amateur can help you ... if the cables need to be shorter then it will start to cost you ... because you will need new cables etc ..
Tyres, I got a price today but need to shop around, children do not make my new found hobby very easy to afford lol, such is life! Handlebars, I might try lowering them first...

Still reminds me of the "transition" lenses I used to have in my glasses... before I realised they were the reason small children were frightened of me

Nah it's awesome hah. I feel naked without it!

Cruisers with forward controls are obviously an exception.
Spot on. I've tried moving my fat arse backwards on the seat. Result is less control of my bike. She ain't no sports bike, am a bit too far away from the tank don't have as much for my knees to grip on to and the handlebars are so high they might as well be mid air. Also I just end up sliding forwards anyway the Ginny seat ain't exactly grippy...

Does nothing but ease the numb arse and give the legs a bit of stretch...its a GN, the often used term ''getting under the paint'' wont make any difference where this bike is concerned, it is not a track/race bike is it?
I am more impressed with her head position whilst cornering, shows why she is out there in the first place.
Correct. Do it to stretch when I'm riding, nothing more, it's pointless.

She is currently riding the bike like she is a passenger on it, and just sitting there, as opposed to riding and controlling it.

You've met me, have you seen how tall I am? About your height I think, 5ft 8 or so. I'm more legs than torso (just a pity they're not tanned and thin!) I'm verging on being too big for this bike and not just cause I need to lose a few (or more than a few..) I bet you'd look all kinds of ridiculous if you sat on my bike too
I have better control of my bike with how I am sitting, trust me I have tried. You are right in lifting my caboose off the seat on approach to and around corners though, however that will come with time I am sure...Also well have to agree to disagree on your end statement

A more suitable set of bars might help but a new set of tyres sounds more urgent...
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
